Karate, Bumps, and The Mudcats

Well, this is going to be a pretty long post, mainly b/c of the pictures. I hope you will stick with reading it:) First....Karate! Hailey and Kaleb have been taking Karate for a little over a month now and they love it. Last Friday they had a promotion ceremony and both kids received new belts. They now have yellow stripe belts. I am so proud of them, they really do such a good job listening to the sensei (teacher) and following directions. Plus, they both are really good!! It is so fun to watch them do punches, kicks and blocks. Here are the pics of the ceremony, sorry some are a little blurry. Kaleb getting his new belt

You better watch out

OK, second....Bumps! Monday night the kids and I went to watch Stephen umpire his last game of the spring season. We had to leave early b/c a big storm came through, but we still watched most of the game. Stephen had to stay and wait to make sure the game was going to be canceled for sure. So, I took the kids home and got them all ready for bed, PJ's on, teeth brushed, etc... We said our family prayer and then started giving hugs. Well, Kaleb was going to hug Karly, but Hailey was hugging Karly, and he didn't want to wait. I told him to be careful and don't pull on her, just be patient... he wasn't and he pulled at her and then kind of pushed her down ( it was an accident) and her head hit the wall. OUCH!! She was bawling and her head immediately bruised and swelled up. Hailey and Kaleb were both crying b/c they were scared, I think mostly of me:) and worried for Karly. At that point, Stephen came home and helped me get everyone calm and thankfully Karly did not have a concussion. By the way, Karly is one tough chick!!!

Here are a couple of pics... they don't do it justice, it was a lot worse
Here is Kaleb giving his sister loves and feeling really bad for hurting her
And last but not least.....The Mudcats! Tuesday, my whole family (minus one) went to The Mudcats baseball game. It was a blast!! The kids loved being with their cousins just cheering, laughing, and dancing. You should have seen Hailey dance, she gets so into it and does quite well:) Also, the kids would laugh when they did a silly noise over the sound system, like if a batter hit a foul ball. It was so funny and they had they people sitting around us laughing too. They are so silly sometimes. It really was so much fun and I can't wait to go again!

I hoped you enjoyed reading!!!

Fathers Day

We had a great Fathers Day!! It was our Stake Conference at church, so we were able to go early and just have the afternoon to rest and enjoy being together as a family. Also, the Stake Presidency was being released so we had Elder Bednar there of the quorum of twelve. I was able to meet him and it was so great to hear him speak!! Ok, back to Dads Day:) Since we were rushing to get ready for church, we didn't really do a breakfast, but we were still able to give him his gifts that morning, which he loved. After conference we went to my parents house to just chill and hang out before dinner. Then my sis in law family came over and we had a big Fathers Day dinner with everyone. It was so fun!! Stephen is such a wonderful father and husband. I am so lucky to have him. The kids love playing with him, and he is so great at coming up with games and making the kids happy. I love when he comes home from work and the kids race to give him a hug before he even makes in the door, even Karly will try to run and the start saying "da da" till he picks her up. He really is so good with the kids and he always is so willing to help around the house and take care of the kids when I need a break. Seriously, he is perfect and I love love him to death!!!!

Transformer/Ninja Turtle Party and Graduation

My wonderful son, Kaleb turned 3 on Monday! I can't believe how time flies. He was sooooo excited for his birthday and asked me everyday for a week.." is today my birthday, mommy?" He decided he wanted a Transformer/Ninja Turtle party, b/c he loves those movies and the toys. We went to Party City to get all the supplies, but they didn't have any Ninja Turtle stuff!! He was upset, but I told him I would still put Ninja Turtles on his cake, so he was ok. We got the Transformers plates, napkins, cups, etc... and then went to pick out balloons. He was picking out a balloon when Hailey said here is a TMNT(teenage mutant ninja turtle) balloon. We were all so happy, so he got a transformer balloon and a TMNT balloon! By the way, we did this a few days before. So, on the day of his birthday he got up was so thrilled that today was actually his birthday! I asked what he wanted for breakfast, thinking he would pick cinnamon rolls or pancakes...no he wanted cereal. Easy enough for me. Then we needed to go get his balloons, pick up some stuff at Target and get lunch. He choose McDonald's for lunch. All the kids were happy about that:) After that, I made all the kids take a nap(even Hailey) so I could finish the cake and get all the decorations set up. When I had finished everything, I got the kids up and showed Kaleb his cake, which he loved! Then we went to get ready for the pool. I got all the kids ready, got the bags ready and headed to the pool. It is just behind our house, so we walked, man was it hot!!! Like 102 HOT! So we were ready for the pool, BUT the pool was CLOSED!!! I was so mad!!! The pump to the pool had broken and the guy who was fixing it was still there. He said he was finished fixing it, but we had to wait for the pool people to come check it out and give me the ok to swim. ARG! I called the pool people and they told me it was going to be like 45min. till they got there. I was very frustrated and Kaleb was very upset!!! I told him we could go home and make the bathtub our swimming pool, he seemed pretty happy about that. The kids actually had a really fun time playing pretend pool in the tub! After the tub-pool he picked out a movie to watch while we waited for everyone to get there. He picked Transformers(the new one-even though we have the original). Stephen got home and then picked up the pizzas, and then the rest of my family showed up and we had a super fun party! Kaleb loved all his presents, especially his new bike! (He wears his hat all the time, so in the bike pictures you can't really see how excited he was), and he loved the cake, and he loved having all the family there. What a lot of love! Another one of his favorite presents was his TMNT sword and mask. He actually went to bed with the mask on and the sword still tucked in the back of his shirt!! I sure do love my Kaleb and I am glad he had a great birthday!!! I made another slide show since there was a lot of pictures. I hope you like the music, seeing as it goes with the theme of the party:)

So, my younger brother Kyle graduated high school on Tuesday!! I am so proud of him and I love him to death!!! He really is a fantastic brother and I am so glad he is a part of my family. He was only able to get 5 tickets to the graduation ceremony, so just the immediate family went(thanks to Stephen and Amber for staying with the kids so we could go). It really was a fun night just hanging out with my parents and brothers and celebrating Kyles accomplishment. I truly do love all my brothers! They are so fun and make me laugh all the time. Heavenly Father sure blessed me when he allowed me come down to this wonderful family!! Here are some pics of the family after he received his diploma. Please ignore my shiny, sweaty face in the pics...it was hot and I was a little emotional:)

Memorial Day

We had such a fun Memorial Day!! Do I have pictures of it...no, I forgot my camera!! Hopefully you will be able to imagine it in your minds as I describe it:) So, first off we slept in..ok I got up the usual time, but Stephen slept in b/c no seminary. We loaded up the kids and went to the baseball field and hit some softball. I had so much fun!! I forgot how much fun softball was. The kids were great and had a blast. We didn't have the small bats so the kids hit with our bats, and they did really well. I was impressed. Karly just walked around and played in the dirt. It was a hot day, which was perfect since we were going swimming at our pool with some friends. Swimming was fun, but the water was still SO cold!! Seriously, I played with kids and my legs never got comfortable in the water. The kids didn't care, but when we left they were shivering and had blue lips. I thought for sure Karly would fuss about the water, but she was so chill!! She just floated around in her little float. Even when the kids and their friends were splashing, she just laughed and kept on floating. After that we went home and rested for a bit before heading to my parents for a cookout. My whole family was there and the missionaries from our ward. It was great. My dad made BBQ chicken, oh my it was delicious!! He made his own BBQ sauce and I think he should sell it... it is that good!!! The kids loved playing with my brothers boys and jumping on the trampoline. It was just so nice to be together as a family!!! It really was a fantastic day!!
