Haircuts, Sickness, and Birthday..Oh my

So, Hailey and I went to get our haircuts last Tuesday, and Karly was going to go on Thursday (her birthday). Hailey was so excited b/c I got her out of school early and it was just me and her. We go the spa/salon for our cuts, so it is really fun and we get pampered:) When they called Hailey, they asked if she wanted me to go back with her and she thought for a minute and said, "no, I can do it." I seriously almost cried, I can't believe my little girl is growing up. When it was my turn, I passed by where she was and she just smiled and continued talking to her stylist. I was so proud of her, b/c she told him (yes, she had a guy) exactly what she wanted, right at her neck with some layers. It looks awesome, and she loves how easy it is for her to do. Oh, and I love my cut too.
I was planning on taking Karly to get her haircut on Thursday for her birthday. Both Hailey and Kaleb are in school, so it was going to be our special trip. However, Wednesday evening I become really sick. Around dinner I felt nauseous and didn't eat, and just continued to feel crappy. Around 9pm I started throwing up and that didn't stop till about 5:45am Thursday morning. Thank goodness I have the worlds greatest husband, b/c he not only got up with me when I was sick, but also got up the next morning to put up decorations for Karly and get the kids ready for school. I called the doctor and of course they told me to come in. So, he took the kids to school and then being the wonderful daddy and husband that he is, took Karly to the salon for her haircut. I had already called my fabulous father, (who stayed home just to see if I needed any help), and he drove me to the doctor. I was completely dehydrated, so I need to get started on the IV fluids immediately. My dad stayed with me until Stephen got there with Karly ( her hair looks awesome, and she did a great job) and then he took Karly home with him. I was really upset b/c I felt like I was ruining her birthday, but she had the best birthday ever spending the morning with daddy and then the whole afternoon with Papa. I had to have 3 bags of IV fluid and be at the doctor for 5hrs. Stephen stayed with me the whole time:) I am just so thankful for him and my family for helping out when I needed it, I am really blessed. I was fine on Friday, just tired and I haven't had any problems since. Here is picture of Karly's cute hair.

We did get to celebrate Karly's birthday on Friday with just our little family and on Saturday with my whole family. Friday night we went to Chuck E Cheese and had a blast and then on Saturday we met everyone at my parents house for pizza, presents and cake. Karly had so much fun both nights and I can't believe my little girl is 2! Karly loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse, so that was theme of her party. I just put a slide show together of the fun festivities. Oh, Saturday we also had my fantastic and very talented friend Sarah take some family pictures of us, they are so awesome. When I get the CD, I will post some more. Ok, I think that about wraps everything up for now:)

I did it!! and Snow again!

Yesterday Karly put on both of her shoes all by herself! She had just been getting one on and then bringing the other one to Stephen or I, but she did both of them all by her self. She was in such a hurry to get outside and play that she went right over after breakfast and put them on. To bad she didn't have any pants on, but we were still proud. It is so nice to have all the kids get shoes on without help, it makes my day a little easier.

We also had another snow day yesterday!! I cannot believe we had snow in March! It wasn't as much as last time, but it sure was fun. Stephen and the kids had fun sledding, eating snow, and throwing snowballs. I did not get out this time, my snow clothes do not fit anymore:).

I am glad that we had snow, but I am really ready for things to warm up and stay warm!

Girls Night!!

This past Friday I had a girls night with my wonderful daughters and my amazing mother. It was so much fun. My brother and his wife invited Kaleb to spend the night and Stephen and my dad had to referee. So, I called up my mom and we decided to go out and have a fun night. Kaleb was so excited to go Sean's house, Hailey was excited to have a girls night, and Karly was just excited. I painted the girls nails and we went to Chili's for dinner, it was so good. The girls got some fruity drinks which they thought was so cool and we just enjoyed our dinner. After dinner we headed to the mall to walk around and got dessert. I just really had a blast with them and my mom. I really appreciate my mom for taking us out, she is so fun to hang out with and I love her like crazy. I just wish I had remembered my camera. Kaleb also had a blast with Sean and Jackson, it was good for him to have something special just for him. The rest of the weekend was great. Hopefully this week will be just as good.

Basketball and Valentines

What a wonderful Valentines Day we had!! The day started off early with church ball at 8am. All went well, and it was so nice to have Stephen there with me for a change. I had a good game and scored 8pts. Yes, I still play and will continue to play as long as the doctor says it is ok. After church ball we had Hailey's basketball team lunch and trophy ceremony. That was a lot of fun and Hailey loved getting a new trophy. When that was over we headed back home to watch..... basketball! NC State was playing and we love watching the games. And yes, State won!! So, when the game was over we decided we should start celebrating Valentines day:) Stephen and Kaleb had bought flowers for the girls, which are so pretty. It was so sweet to watch Kaleb give the flowers to his sisters. Then, the kids received some treats from my parents, and Stephen made them some really cool cards and we gave them some candy. When all the gifts had been handed out, we headed to dinner at Champps ( a sports restaurant, where we watched more bball). I love having dinner with all the kids and it really makes Valentines special for me. After dinner, we headed home and put the kids to bed and Stephen and I had special ice cream cake desserts for each other. It was such a fantastic way to end Valentines.

So happy to have her trophy

All of their Valentine goodies

My husband spoils me!
As a little side note, I just have say again that I have the greatest husband!! Stephen really does spoil me and I am so thankful to have him!! I love you Stephen!

Potty time

So, Karly has decided that she would like to start using the potty. She has been doing this for about a month, but has yet to actually do anything in the potty. She always tells us when she has gone, but can't quite catch it before. She is so funny on the potty, that I just had to post a video. Ahh, the sweet memories she will have when she gets older;) I do hope she will be trained before the baby comes.

Just Life

Well, again I have slacked on my blogging. But, honestly not much has been going on, however since I do kind of use this as my journal, I should try to write more often. Anyway, this has been a pretty busy, fun and crazy week. Monday we had a fun family home evening of couch jumping, and then making Valentine cards for Elder Garrison. We really did have a good time.

Tuesday started off fun with Karly and I going to my friend Christina's house. Christina took some fabulous photos of Karly. They really are great, Thanks Crickett!!! You can click on the link on the right hand side of my page to view them or go to http://www.crickettphotography.com/ and enter the blog. After the shoot, the kids played and I had fun talking with my friend. After the fun morning we headed off to pick up Kaleb and then home for nap and quiet time. Karly did take her nap, but Kaleb was having a rough afternoon and it was driving me crazy. I called Stephen and he came home and took over with Kaleb and I got Karly up and we left to pick up Hailey from school. So, I was already frustrated, when on the way to get Hailey a tow truck rear- ended me!! Thank goodness it wasn't bad, but just a hassle to deal with. Since Stephen was at home, I called him to go get Hailey and then he met me where the accident was. Once the accident stuff got all handled, we rushed to my parents house (thanks for dinner mom and dad) and then off to Hailey's last basketball game!! Hailey had a great game and she SCORED!!! She hadn't scored all season and finally made 2 baskets!!! I was so proud of her. She had the biggest smile on her face. After our game, Stephen had to stay and referee the next two games, so I loaded up the kids and went home. By this time I wasn't feeling to great and was just ready to sleep.

Which brings us to Wednesday...

Of course, I didn't sleep to great Tuesday night, so I woke up sore on Wednesday. I was also feeling dizzy. I called the doctor and told them about the accident and how I was feeling so they wanted me to come in that afternoon. Which was fine, but I did have to go the grocery store. Since I wasn't feeling to hot, my sweet husband offered to go with me, he did offer to just to the shopping, but I am kinda of picky about groceries so it was just perfect to have him come with me:) After shopping we went and had lunch with my dad (the kids and I eat lunch with my dad every Wednesday, it is great). After lunch we went home for a little rest before the doctor. We headed to the doctor and everything was fine with me and the baby, he told me to just take it easy. The rest of the afternoon was pretty relaxing and I was starting to feel better. Thanks mostly to my wonderful husband, who spoils me to much and took the kids out of the house. That night we all gathered around the TV to watch the news where Hailey's basketball team was on the pint sized sports segment on NBC 17. It was so fun to watch, b/c Stephen, Hailey and Kaleb all got on. Stephen is Hailey's coach and he does a great job. They did this segment for a promotion for the Duke vs. Carolina game. We got to choose which team we wanted to be, and since our family is Wolfpack fans...we didn't want to be either:) However, we had to choose, so we choose the lesser of the two evils...Carolina. Stephen did wear his NC State sweatshirt though:) One thing that didn't get on the segment, was when the guy asked the kids who they were going to cheer for, Hailey said "Neither, I cheer for NC State!" Ahh, I love my girl. Here is the link where you can watch the segment http://pintsizedsports.myncblogs.com/ . Oh yea, Wednesday morning Hailey lost another tooth. Which brings the count up to two, a top one is also loose. It was also the 100th day of school, so we made a shirt with 100 hearts and circles.

Today, Thursday has been fun. I took the kids to school this morning and then Karly and I headed to the park for a walk and then to play. The weather has been so nice and it was just beautiful this morning. I had a good walk, and then Karly had a blast on the playground. I really wish I had my camera with me, b/c she is so cute. She is also a really good climber, I loved to watch her climb up and then go down the slides. The rest of today was nice.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday and Stephen doesn't have to referee that night or Saturday! It will be nice to have him with me during the day Saturday at church ball.

I was going to just post pictures on here, but this turned out longer than I thought, so I am just posting a slide show.
