Potty time

So, Karly has decided that she would like to start using the potty. She has been doing this for about a month, but has yet to actually do anything in the potty. She always tells us when she has gone, but can't quite catch it before. She is so funny on the potty, that I just had to post a video. Ahh, the sweet memories she will have when she gets older;) I do hope she will be trained before the baby comes.

Just Life

Well, again I have slacked on my blogging. But, honestly not much has been going on, however since I do kind of use this as my journal, I should try to write more often. Anyway, this has been a pretty busy, fun and crazy week. Monday we had a fun family home evening of couch jumping, and then making Valentine cards for Elder Garrison. We really did have a good time.

Tuesday started off fun with Karly and I going to my friend Christina's house. Christina took some fabulous photos of Karly. They really are great, Thanks Crickett!!! You can click on the link on the right hand side of my page to view them or go to http://www.crickettphotography.com/ and enter the blog. After the shoot, the kids played and I had fun talking with my friend. After the fun morning we headed off to pick up Kaleb and then home for nap and quiet time. Karly did take her nap, but Kaleb was having a rough afternoon and it was driving me crazy. I called Stephen and he came home and took over with Kaleb and I got Karly up and we left to pick up Hailey from school. So, I was already frustrated, when on the way to get Hailey a tow truck rear- ended me!! Thank goodness it wasn't bad, but just a hassle to deal with. Since Stephen was at home, I called him to go get Hailey and then he met me where the accident was. Once the accident stuff got all handled, we rushed to my parents house (thanks for dinner mom and dad) and then off to Hailey's last basketball game!! Hailey had a great game and she SCORED!!! She hadn't scored all season and finally made 2 baskets!!! I was so proud of her. She had the biggest smile on her face. After our game, Stephen had to stay and referee the next two games, so I loaded up the kids and went home. By this time I wasn't feeling to great and was just ready to sleep.

Which brings us to Wednesday...

Of course, I didn't sleep to great Tuesday night, so I woke up sore on Wednesday. I was also feeling dizzy. I called the doctor and told them about the accident and how I was feeling so they wanted me to come in that afternoon. Which was fine, but I did have to go the grocery store. Since I wasn't feeling to hot, my sweet husband offered to go with me, he did offer to just to the shopping, but I am kinda of picky about groceries so it was just perfect to have him come with me:) After shopping we went and had lunch with my dad (the kids and I eat lunch with my dad every Wednesday, it is great). After lunch we went home for a little rest before the doctor. We headed to the doctor and everything was fine with me and the baby, he told me to just take it easy. The rest of the afternoon was pretty relaxing and I was starting to feel better. Thanks mostly to my wonderful husband, who spoils me to much and took the kids out of the house. That night we all gathered around the TV to watch the news where Hailey's basketball team was on the pint sized sports segment on NBC 17. It was so fun to watch, b/c Stephen, Hailey and Kaleb all got on. Stephen is Hailey's coach and he does a great job. They did this segment for a promotion for the Duke vs. Carolina game. We got to choose which team we wanted to be, and since our family is Wolfpack fans...we didn't want to be either:) However, we had to choose, so we choose the lesser of the two evils...Carolina. Stephen did wear his NC State sweatshirt though:) One thing that didn't get on the segment, was when the guy asked the kids who they were going to cheer for, Hailey said "Neither, I cheer for NC State!" Ahh, I love my girl. Here is the link where you can watch the segment http://pintsizedsports.myncblogs.com/ . Oh yea, Wednesday morning Hailey lost another tooth. Which brings the count up to two, a top one is also loose. It was also the 100th day of school, so we made a shirt with 100 hearts and circles.

Today, Thursday has been fun. I took the kids to school this morning and then Karly and I headed to the park for a walk and then to play. The weather has been so nice and it was just beautiful this morning. I had a good walk, and then Karly had a blast on the playground. I really wish I had my camera with me, b/c she is so cute. She is also a really good climber, I loved to watch her climb up and then go down the slides. The rest of today was nice.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday and Stephen doesn't have to referee that night or Saturday! It will be nice to have him with me during the day Saturday at church ball.

I was going to just post pictures on here, but this turned out longer than I thought, so I am just posting a slide show.

SNOW!!!

Hip Hip Hooray! We had a snow day!! Yesterday was so much fun. We actually had a good amount of snow here in Raleigh. It was about 4"-6" and it was perfect. The kids woke up and were so excited. After breakfast we got are snow gear on and headed out for making snow angels, sledding, and having snow ball fights. All the kids went sledding down our little hill in the back ( I do have videos), it was so cute. Stephen and I even went sledding (sorry no videos of that). My favorite part was just watching the kids enjoy the snow. Here are some pictures and videos.

Happy Birthday Stephen!!

I love my husband so much!! He seriously is fantastic. On Sunday, he celebrated his 29th birthday and we all had a great time. Saturday night just he and I went out (thank you for babysitting mom and dad) to dinner , thanks to our buy one get one free coupon:) And later that night I surprised him with an ice cream cake just for two. It was nice to have some couple time. Sunday, we went to church as usual, and then headed to my parents house where the whole family met up to party with dinner and dessert. It really was a lot of fun. I just have to say that I am so lucky to have a terrific husband. He is an amazing father and the kids love him, and he is an even more amazing husband. He is so selfless and willing to help me out whenever I need it and he is the best at playing with kids. I am so crazy about this guy!! The slide show is pictures of his birthday on Sunday and some other fun ones. Plus, listen to the song, I thought is was perfect and always makes me smile when I hear it. I LOVE YOU STEPHEN!!!

We had a Merry Little Christmas!

So, I am finally getting around to posting about Christmas! It was fantastic. Santa brought the kids exactly what they wanted:) Hailey really wants a puppy, but neither Stephen and I are big fans of getting a pet. Santa brought her a FurReal puppy and she loves it, she takes it everywhere. Kaleb loves everything Batman, and Santa brought him a Bat Tumbler that also comes with a Bat motorcycle. Of course, he loves it and plays with all the time. Karly loves baby dolls and so Santa brought her a new doll and stroller. The girl takes it everywhere, she even tries to sleep with it, but we told her she could not sleep with the stroller, just the doll. Also, each of them got a new outdoor skating toy. Hailey got roller blades, Karly got roller skates and Kaleb got a skateboard. I was impressed by how well each one did using them. I have posted those videos below. Santa was also very generous to Stephen and I, and we are grateful for our family who loves us and helps with things we need:) We hung out at my parents house all day on Christmas and enjoyed watching the kids play with all their stuff. We also got to talk to my wonderful brother Kyle, who is serving his mission in Colorado. I loved talking with him and hearing his neat stories. He really has grown up. Can't wait till Mothers Day to hear him again. All and all it was a great day! New Years was fun as well. We really didn't do much, which was nice. Stephen and I stayed at home and rang in the New Years together. We actually fell asleep and woke up just in time:) We (actually me) woke up Hailey, b/c I was talking very loud and she came down and had some cider with us. The next day, Stephen played football and we went to my parents house for the traditional, ham, black eyed peas, and collards. It was delicious! We also cleaned the house and took down the Christmas stuff. I love the Holidays and even in hard times, we still had a blast!! Hope you enjoy the videos and sideshow.

Busy Busy Busy

This past week has been busy, but also a lot of fun! I was going to just post the pictures with each event, but then just decided to do a slide show. Ok, on Sunday we had a little get together with some friends of ours and their families. First, the kids dressed up and acted out the nativity story. Hailey was Mary, Kaleb was Joesph and Karly was a little lamb:) Stephen was an angel, but I didn't get any pictures of that. The other kids there were Shepard's and wise men. All the kids did great and had a lot of fun. I was really proud of Hailey, Kaleb and Karly, b/c the listened to the story and did what they were supposed to. I loved watching them. After that we went and decorated gingerbread houses, which was awesome. The kids really did a good job, but also ate a lot of candy. I thought we took more pictures of the houses, but I only got Kalebs. It really was a fun night. Monday, for family home evening we read from the scriptures and then made some yummy pretzel candy. I have to say that a borrowed the pretzel candy idea from a friends blog(thank you Jessica). The kids did a good job and really had a blast making them. It was super easy and we loved eating them the next day. On Tuesday, Kaleb had a "Carol Sing" at his preschool, so Stephen, my dad, Karly and I went. Kaleb did sing, but only parts of the songs. He still looked very cute up there. I did get video and that is below.

Hailey has done these programs, but it was a lot fun to watch Kaleb do them this year. Also, on Tuesday, Hailey had a basketball game. Stephen is her coach and they have a great time. Hailey has some good skills, but she is also a little spacey:) I do love to watch her play though, here is a little video of her playing.

On Wednesday we had the most exciting news!! We went the doctor for an ultrasound and found out we are having a.......BOY!!! We are all so happy, especially Kaleb. He kept saying that is MY baby brother, he is going to be my best friend. It was so sweet. Hailey and Karly are just as excited. So, now we are even 2 girls and 2 boys:) It was so cool to see the baby and listen to the heartbeat. He kept putting his fingers in his mouth, I loved it!!

Thursday the kids had dentist appointments and neither had cavities! The dentist said that the kids have great teeth. Sorry, I don't have pictures of that:) We really have had a great week and look forward to Christmas!!!! Whoo hoo, Christmas is in 6 days!! I love this time of year!
